Closing the opportunity gap

• Guaranteeing that every single student feels they belong in our schools -- regardless of socioeconomics, LGBTQ+ identities, immigration status, learning differences, or any other factor

• Monitoring and directly addressing differences in student outcomes based on these and other factors -- e.g., early childhood education, after-school and summer programs, culturally-relevant coursework, learning format alternatives

• Implementing more flexible models for learning and assessment (e.g., competency-based grading) and streamlining accomodations for learning differences where needed
